If you’re a fan of HGTV, you might just spot a local familiar face on a new show! Colorado Springs local, Tom Reber, is the star of HGTV’s latest series, “Unfinished Business.” HGTV’s website describes the show like this: “Homeowners try tackling renovations themselves until they are forced to give up their DIY dreams. That’s when home-renovation coach Tom Reber arrives to offer the support, guidance and tough love they need to regain control of runaway projects.”

Reber moved to the Springs in 2015 after serving in the Marine Corps, launching and selling his own contracting company in Chicago, and beginning “The Contractor Fight,” a home improvement coaching business. Here in the Springs, Reber has been a football coach for Palmer High School and began Live Unafraid Apparel in 2020.

In an interview with The Gazette, Reber mentioned that “The biggest thing to me is having an impact..I’ve always felt like I’m supposed to impact people for the better” – a common theme throughout “Unfinished Business.”

“When a project is sitting there for a while, that causes stress, anxiety and chaos in the home…We try to get to the root of what’s going on so we can get them back to normal,” Reber told the Gazette. “I believe that the way you do one thing is the way you do everything,” he said. “It’s not just about a project. It’s about how you’re going to live your life and show up each day.”

Catch Tom Reber in “Unfinished Business” Saturdays at 9pm on HGTV.
